Strengths
- The Laboratory of physics Department has well equipped with modern Facilities like LCD projector, Computers with Printer & Scanner
- Highly qualified and experienced faculty member and energetic and encomiastic supporting staff
- All sanctioned posts are filled.
- Our Students have been selected in various competitive exams like TET, VYAPAM and a large number has joined as lecturers in government/ private schools and colleges.
Weakness
- Teacher Student ratio is very high.
- Lack of separate and sufficient laboratories for UG students.
- Most of the students belong to rural areas from socially and financially backward classes.
Opportunities
- The Department of Physics will utilize the grant given by the UGC and through RUSA if proposal sanction.
- Students are motivated and guided by able faculty member to get higher degree and appear in NET, SLET, and other competitive exams.
- Confidence building through seminars and group discussions and personality development through interactive sessions
- Department gives platform to the students to show their potential and knowledge by conducting seminars and giving projects etc.
- To develop ecosystem for entrepreneurship and self employment.
Challenges
- To cope-up with the students from rural and tribal background.
- Student-teacher ratio is unexpectedly high at the UG level.
- To teach and conduct practical classes of the students with poor foundation and
- Having no Departmental Library.
- We have no separate class and Laboratory.
- To inculcate leadership in students , so that they are able to employ their knowledge/ skills; and contribute constructively to the society by playing a proactive role of a PROBLEM SOLVER.
